Privacy, CCPA and accessibility
PrimaryCheck is a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The FCRA program, notices and the consumer portal are described on the compliance page; this page covers privacy, California rights and accessibility.
Privacy
We collect the data a customer submits to verify a claim (name, date of birth, license or credential identifiers, education and employment history), the consent record the subject signs, the records the primary source returns, and account and usage data for the customer. No SSNs are collected or stored. Data is hosted on Google Cloud in us-east1, encrypted in transit and at rest, and retained for seven years from the report date, then purged by a nightly job whose runs are logged.
Data is used only to produce the verification a customer ordered under a certified permissible purpose, to serve the subject's own file request or dispute, and to operate the service. It is not sold. Subprocessors: Google Cloud (hosting), Vercel (web), SendGrid (transactional mail). Questions: compliance@primarycheck.com.
California privacy rights (CCPA)
Consumer-report data is handled under the FCRA, which the CCPA defers to. Beyond that, California residents may ask what personal information we hold about them, request its deletion where the FCRA retention duty does not apply, and will not be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To request your file, dispute an item, or exercise a California right, use the consumer portal or write to consumers@primarycheck.com. Identity is verified before any file is released.
Accessibility
The site and dashboard are built to WCAG 2.1 AA: body text at 4.5:1 contrast or better in light and dark mode, keyboard-operable navigation and forms, visible focus states, and semantic landmarks. Consumer notices are also available as text on request. If something does not work for you, write to consumers@primarycheck.com and we will provide the content in another form.
